About Our Chocolate, Passionfruit & Honeycomb Traybake
This month’s small batch chocolate cake is a beautifully balanced sponge, layered with both cream cheese frosting and tropical passionfruit curd at its centre. The cake is finished with rich chocolate fudge, dark and white chocolate curls, and a generous sprinkling of honeycomb, creating a bake that feels indulgent yet fresh.
Evocative of the longer, sunnier days of Spring and early Summer, this traybake offers a vibrant contrast of flavours and textures, promising indulgence with every bite.
A Big Hit In‑Store, At Markets and With Distributors
Our chocolate, passionfruit and honeycomb cake has already been warmly received by visitors to our Lakeland Food Hub bakery shop in Kendal, perfectly placed for those travelling to and from the Lake District. It has also proved popular at our local farmers’ markets in Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale.
In addition, this Small Batch Bake has been sent out to many of our wholesale distributors this month, helping everyone enjoy something special over the Easter break.

This sharing‑size traybake is supplied unsliced and contains four generous portions – though it could easily stretch to five, thanks to its substantial size. If you’re feeding a crowd, it’s also available as a full tray, making it ideal for gatherings and celebrations.

Looking Back at Last Month’s Small Batch Bake
Last month’s Rhubarb, Rose and Lemon cake was a huge success, selling out both in‑store and online. We’ve had several requests for its return already – even alongside everyone’s love for chocolate! If demand is strong, we always consider bringing back popular products, and we may even be revisiting an archived favourite later this Summer…

As with all of our Small Batch Bakes, this chocolate, passionfruit and honeycomb cake is made in limited quantities. Once it’s gone, it’s gone – so we recommend enjoying it while it’s available.
