Ginger Bakers was created in 2006 by Lisa Smith to fulfil her desire to produce fabulous, great tasting cakes using only the best quality freshest ingredients.
Lisa has used her creative flair, established during her career in design, art therapy and art teaching to produce stunning hand crafted cakes with imaginative flavours and a great attention to detail.
Ginger Bakers home is in the Lake District. The breathtaking landscape and it’s abundance of high quality local ingredients have inspired Lisa to establish a successful business producing fabulous cakes for prominent local retailers, farmers markets and individuals.
An important element of Ginger Bakers philosophy is that no one should be excluded from enjoying delicious cake, so Lisa has produced the successful ‘Something Special’ range for those with special dietary needs. Lisa’s expertise in gluten free baking enabled her to establish a dedicated gluten free kitchen and to teach gluten free baking for a renowned restaurant and cookery school.
